“Midi It!” is Freeware. You can use it  freely unless for commercial purposes.

“Midi It!” also changes the “Creator” of the file into your favorite application so that you can launch your favorite application just by double-clicking the Standard MIDI file icon.

“Midi It!” checks an unrecognizable file, and if it is a Standard Midi File, it then changes “File Type” of the document to 'Midi'.
'Midi' is the Macintosh identification mark for Standard MIDI files.
